From 17th to 20th February Rimini expo centre is once more hosting the Italian Cuisine Championship organized by the Italian Federation of Chefs: a contest between 500 chefs from every Italian region and FIC foreign delegations.


New this year: international participation in the Grand Prix of Mediterranean Cuisine, the performances of the Mystery Box Contest and, among the competitions dedicates to youngsters, the 3rd edition of the Metro trophy for the Best Hotel School Pupil and the Ragazzi Speciali Contest.

Hot cuisine, cold cuisine, pastry for food service, artistic cuisine. But above all Italian cuisine, with the best of Italian-made food. At Food Attraction, the special section dedicated to products and technology of the Ho.re.ca. sector at Beer Attraction (17-20 February at Rimini expo centre, organized by Italian Exhibition Group), the Italian Cuisine Championships organized by the Italian Federation of Chefs (FIC), are back. The event, already experimented with enormous success, will once more bring to Rimini over 1,500 cuisine professionals and more than 500 competing chefs who will compete in the most complete national competition of the culinary art, in the contests foreseen for each category of hot, cold and artistic cuisine.

In the competition area, in Hall A7, four kitchens will be set up and equipped for the team competitions and six work areas for individual contests.

There are several new features this year, starting with two specific contests dedicated to the world of youngsters: the Metro trophy for the ´Best Hotel School Pupil´ and the ´Ragazzi Speciali Contest´, which will also feature the students on the centre stage with differentiated programming.

Among the other new features at the 2018 event, also organized by the FIC, the Grand Prix of Mediterranean Cuisine, a contest with an international slant that will feature the national teams of three foreign countries (Cyprus, Spain and Slovenia) preparing menus based on the typical ingredients of the Mediterranean cuisine: pasta, tomato purée, extra-virgin olive oil and citrus fruit.
