Cloakroom is one of the English words for wardrobe. In fact, before the bar was born, in the same place where now people can drink high-level cocktails in the centre of Treviso, there was a warehouse of a clothing shop.

Cloakroom is more than a simple cocktail bar. It a philosophy, a sophisticated mixing style.

The team is composed of young bartenders who put passion and emotion in all their creations, supported by the Boss, Samuele Ambrosi, who is also the founder of Cloakroom as well as an internationally renowned mixologist.

Behind every single cocktail there is a lot of study and testing. Nothing is left to chance, from raw materials, to the choice of the perfect glass, the regularly homemade mix and also the type of ice to use.

Cloackroom is not only famous for its signature and refined cocktails, but also for its Gineria located in the second room facing the town square. Here you can find more than 400 labels of different types of gin. And the cloakroomers know this well. They let themselves be advised new tasting and new combinations of tonic water. 'Cause every gin has its special tonic match.

SAMUELE AMBROSI

Born in 1978 in Verona and then adopted by the city of Treviso. He is son of restaurateurs. At the age fo 15, he leaves his family in the upland of Asiago to go, a little bit older, to St. Moritz, at Badrutt's Palace, where he will remain for some years.

He drives far and wide to improve his techniques, styles and to take inspiration from the best ones.

In 2004 he wins the Angelo Zola Award, reserved to young Italian bartenders with an excellent preparation method and, later on, in 2005 he wins one of the world's most difficult contests in Singapore: The Elite Bartenders Course JWC, where he receives the Eagle Award and gets on the highest step of the podium of the South Asia Pacific Competition, the only Italian who did it to date.

In 2008 he gets another win at the Trophées Internationaux des Calvados in Normandy.

He founds Cloakroom Cocktail Lab in 2013 and opens Cloakstudios in 2022, both in Treviso. In 2020 he publishes Anthologin, the result of his hard work and his immesurable love for Gin.

NICOLA TONIOLO

He was born in Treviso in 1993.

He approaches the restaurant world by chance because, since school days, he kept himself busy on the weekends working as a waiter in a local restaurant.

After completing his studies, he decides to take over the management of a pub with some of his classmates, considering his growing passion for beer. That's when he discovers mixing and he gradually approaches the world of cocktails, so much that he decides to leave his pub and send his resume to Cloakroom Cocktail Lab.

He begins his apprenticeship washing glasses and as bar back in July 2016. In 2018 he goes to London and there he finds his place at Sktech, where he takes on the role of Supervisor after only 6 months.

In 2020 he is forced to return to Italy, due to the pandemic, and fate brings him back to Cloakroom.

In the same year, he takes part in the Head to Head Competition coming in second and, for two years, he gets on the podium of the coveted award for the best young Barman of Italy, Angelo Zola, organized by AIBES.

Today he covers the role of Mini Boss, that is the Bar Manager who replaces Samuele Ambrosi when he is not present.
