It was 2015 when Giacomo Giannotti, together with Grupo Confiteria, opened the first example of a Cocktail Bar with an international and modern design in the heart of Barcelona. The idea with which Paradiso was born is to create a comfortable place, in which the customer feels at home, and an inclusive environment open to experimentation for Giacomo and his team, who can thus create always new and surprising cocktails, with careful attention to detail, design and the presentation of the drinks.
Sinuously shaped wood to recall the sea of Barcelona, Carrara marble for the bar to recall his Tuscan origins and the bond with his family, tropical design elements, and a speakeasy inside the speakeasy.
The different spaces of the venue are artfully connected to each other by sophisticated design elements and soft lighting, designed to give a perfect feeling of privacy and intimacy without limiting the view and the “open space” effect. Surely the bar is the masterpiece, immediately capturing the attention with the sinuous design of the wood that makes it one with the entire room, embracing walls and ceiling and designing the frame of a bottle rack with a great visual impact.

Giacomo Giannotti is the mind behind the Paradiso Cocktail Lists, and together with his team they are the soul that guides customers from the entrance until they leave. The menu changes every year, keeping always a concept of originality. The quality of the ingredients, the choice of unconventional raw materials and the use of experimental and innovative techniques are the basis of every drink list proposed by Paradiso.
The current drink list, Mysteries of the World, was presented in spring 2024. The inspiration behind the Mysteries of the World lies in the curiosity and passion for exploring the mysteries of our planet: from giant Egyptian pyramids and underground ones to microscopic fungi and bacteria, from the mystery of the human brain to the Great Flood, and on and on...

The Bartender
GABRIELE ARMANI
Gabriele Armani, born in 2000, has always been fascinated by the world of bars and restaurants, worlds that have accompanied and influenced him since childhood. Born and raised in northern Italy, in the Aosta Valley, in a small mountain village where his maternal family has been running a restaurant for five generations, Gabriele grew up walking among the café tables and savoring the traditional dishes of the Aosta Valley from a very young age.
After studying at the Institute for Tourism Training in Châtillon, specializing in bar and restaurant service, and gaining some work experience through internships during school holidays as well as small jobs in his valley, Gabriele arrived in Barcelona in the summer of 2019, right after graduating high school. He immediately started working at "Paradiso," joining the team in August for a five-week internship, which was followed by a temporary position from September 2019 to mid-2020. Despite the forced break due to the pandemic, he was able to continue his professional and educational journey, officially becoming part of the Paradiso team and eventually establishing himself as one of the bar's leading bartenders.
Thanks to the experience he has gained over the years, Gabriele now bases his daily work on sustainability, using recyclable materials for presentations, organic and certified products for preparations, and striving to create increasingly creative and innovative drinks with a strong focus on quality.
